#Yellowsquad and Megennis aim for continued momentum in Phoenix

Rising American rallycross star George Megennis and experienced Swedish team #YellowSquad are aimng for continued momentum in the third and fourth rounds of the NRX NEXT American Championship at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Phoenix, Arizona this weekend [November 12-13].

Megennis delivered his performance of the season so far in the opening two rounds of the NRX NEXT America series at Glen Helen in California last month, the official support category to the Nitro Rallycross Championship.

Victory on the opening day and a strong second place finish in round two placed Megennis at the head of the standings. While the results were extremely positive, the major takeaway for the whole team was the performance throughout the weekend, both on and off track, something that both driver and team are focused on continuing this weekend.

Last year at in Phoenix. Megennis came away with a pair of second place finishes, but results can equally not be taken for granted in the highly-competitive, single-specification series for Supercar Lites machines.

While the Nitro RX weekend will run from Friday November 11 to Sunday November 13, the NRX Next class will compete on Saturday and Sunday, with the action streamed live on the Nitro RX broadcast, on Facebook and YouTube.

“I’m really looking forward to Phoenix this weekend. The track is really fun and I had good finishes there last year.

Coming from some good results at Glen Helen, I’m really looking to carry that momentum and hopefully manage to pull together another win.

The track is a lot of fun – very fast with a good rhythm, and the jumps are unique and incredibly challenging, especially when you’re under pressure in a racing situation.”

“The aim for this weekend is to continue the good momentum we had in Glen Helen, to keep working hard to find the speed we need and develop every time we go out on track.

If we can align those things, then the results should come. Of course every time we start an event the ultimate objective is to win.

George’s talent has never been in question and last time he really underlined to everyone how capable he is. We’re all looking forward to fighting for more of the same this weekend.”
