Our Story
#YellowSquad is a vibrant junior rallycross team formed by brothers Kevin and Timmy Hansen in February 2019, and a subsidiary of the world championship-winning Hansen Motorsport organisation. Its focus is on delivering a platform for aspiring rallycross drivers to learn the skills needed to progress up the ladder towards the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The team made its racing debut in the RallyX Nordic Cross Car (XC) category in 2019 with Julius Ljungdahl, before stepping up to the RallyX Nordic Supercar Lites class in 2020. It scored a clean sweep of titles in RX2 - the feeder series to World RX - and RallyX Nordic Supercar Lites categories with Henrik Krogstad in 2020. It recently competed in Nitro Rallycross support category NRX NEXT with American driver George Megennis and EuroRX with Latvian Janis Baumanis. #YellowSquad provides its young drivers with development opportunities beyond the cockpit, including fitness, nutrition, self-development and media relations. Alongside team principal Kevin, is team manager Eric Färén.

Kevin Hansen
Team Principal
Kevin is a highly experienced rallycross driver despite his young years, having started his career at just 14 years of age in the Junior Swift Rallycross Championship. He won the RX2 title - then known as RX Lites - in 2015 and went on to emulate his father, 14-time European champion Kenneth Hansen, by winning a European title of his own in 2016. That success also led to his selection as FIA Rookie of the Year the same year.
He currently competes for Team Hansen in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, finishing third overall in 2019. He also holds the record for the youngest driver to race in World RX, making his debut at only 17 years old.
Now in his roaring twenties, Kevin is the driving force behind #YellowSquad.
Eric Färén
Team Manager
Eric has been working together closely with the Hansen family for a number of years. Much of his driving career was spent racing in the FIA European Rally Championship’s Super 1600 category, and he also finished as runner-up in the 2015 RallyX Nordic Supercar championship with one of Hansen's Peugeot 208s.
He’s also known in rallycross circles as nine-time World Rally champion Sébastien Loeb’s spotter for Team Peugeot-Hansen in 2016 and 2017, but also founded the eponymous Team Faren during the same period.
Eric’s team successfully fielded Dan Rooke to second overall in the RX2 championship in its debut year and for 2020, Team Faren and #YellowSquad have teamed up to field an even stronger effort in RX2 and RallyX Nordic Supercar Lites.
